Employment Specialist (Job Coach)

Currently we are looking for Employment Specialist in Chippewa Falls, part time ( 3 days a week with opportunity for additional hours). We are seeking compassionate, caring individuals who like to have fun while maintaining a professional balance. Our philosophy encourages people to be as independent as possible while supporting independence and encouraging community integration. Aurora provides residential and vocational services to individuals with brain injuries, physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities and/or mental illness.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Assist persons with disabilities to learn job duties.
Assisting individuals to complete applications, resumes, and interviews and perform other activities to assist with obtaining employment.
Assisting with assessment of individual's skills, abilities, interests and limitations, by working with community employers to perform actual work.
Provide support and training to consumer(s) in community based employment to assist them with successfully fulfilling/maintaining employment as independently as possible.
Calling upon or visiting local businesses to find suitable employment for people with disabilities or employment limitations.
Write reports based on observations and work performed.
Position Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
High school or equivalency diploma
Ability to lift 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation
Acceptable caregiver background check
Hours are dependent upon consumer need and may vary from week to week in order to meet these changing needs
Reliable vehicle, meeting necessary insurance coverage
The position requires travel to numerous locations and may involve the transportation of consumers
Two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
