Security Guards are responsible for providing friendly and timely service to all incoming and outgoing transport drivers delivering to the Distribution Center.
The security guard's primary objective is to maintain a safe, secure and professional environment by interacting with the public, vendors, and other distribution support staff.
Provide smooth traffic flow in and out of the gate area by providing efficient and accurate service.
Ensure the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
Stay alert to all happenings in the Yard.
Report suspicious behavior to the Loss Prevention Supervisor or Management.
Assist guests, enforce rules and regulations, and ensure access control.
Enforce and comply with company policies, post orders and corporate instructions.
Provide a visual deterrence by maintaining high visibility at all times.
Conduct detailed observations of people and property within their area of responsibility.
Provide detailed written reports of incidents that occur within their area of responsibility.
Provide access control to authorized persons.
Prevent theft of property.
Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1-3 years of Loss Prevention / security experience at a distribution center preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
Including nights, weekends and holidays.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
