Communications Director Focus of Position:
The Communication Director will manage church-wide communications and outward communications of the church.
Qualifications:
Membership required - Or willing to become a Member.
Be a growing Christ follower.
Agreement with the vision and values and Statement of Faith of Jacob's Well.
Prior experience in a communications leadership role.
Demonstrated website management and social media communications skills.
Excellent writing and communication abilities.
Attention to detail.
A servant heart and a desire to make other staff more efficient.
Positive attitude and a high degree of flexibility.
Ability to work with complex changing systems.
Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for managing the communications brand of the church, website, social media and video aspects of the church communications.
Lead the Communications, Video Production and Graphics team to develop synergies and efficiencies in the production process.
Manage the church website as the primary communication tool using strategies to ensure it is the go-to place for information.
Manages the Jacob's Well Online Community communications.
Functions as the main point of contact for the church database.
Oversee communications using Facebook, church app and other social media sites deemed appropriate.
Works with the Worship and Technology Pastor to drive story and communication into the weekend announcements and message videos.
Ensures all weekend messages are appropriately catalogued and available on the church website.
Ensures appropriate communication and messaging prior to, and during all livestreaming services.
Attend weekly staff and team meetings to gather relevant communication information.
Ensure the church communication brand is consistent, fresh and up to date.
General administrative special projects as agreed upon by Executive Team.
Be a member of the ministry team.
Relationships:
Supervised by the Executive Pastor.
Supervises the Graphic Design and Video Production teams.
Commit to live by the church covenant.
