POSITION - Team Assembler and Packaging JOB LOCATION - Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin STARTING DATE - Immediately EMPLOYMENT TERM - Summer, Short-Term, Seasonal EMPLOYMENT TYPE - Flex Schedule, 1st shift WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - Flex Schedule, Pick your shift, 6am-4pm, 8am-4pm, 7am-4pm STARTING PAY - $15.
50/hour REQUIRED EDUCATION - High School Diploma/GED required REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - 6 months to 1 year of related work experience in a manufacturing setting Assembles production components and units made of either wood or metal, such as desks, tables, cabinets, and display centers, in preparation for packaging and shipment.
Responsibilities:
oAssembles a variety of products; takes direction form leads, supervisors, and through written work instructions oAccurately interprets blueprints and assembly instructions oPositions production parts in specified relationship to each other oUses various hand held and pneumatic tools including hammer, mallet, screwdriver, screw gun, hand drill, staple gun, torque wrench, etc.
to secure/attach components (i.
e.
shelves, panels, doors, bases, etc.
), and/or hardware (i.
e.
hinges, handles, etc.
) oApplies glue to joints/edges of production parts, secures assembly in place by pressing parts together by hand or by using a securing device oWorks at a bench or on line as a member of an assembly team, assembling several specific parts and passing unit to another worker for the next assembly task oLift unit from one station to the next as well as stack/secure product to skid/card for transportation at various stages of completion oLoads/unloads parts form and operates previously set up machines, such as a drill press oOperates pallet jack to relocate finished components to inspection area oPerforms quality checks throughout building process Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
oCommunicate effectively and professionally with internal customers oAbility to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions both verbally and written oAbility to effectively present information to other employees of the organization oAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals oAbility to accurately comprehend and apply measuring device readings oAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form oAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations oAbility to read and interpret blueprints and other production instructions accurately Job Types:
