The recreation coordinator is responsible for creating involvement for the OCC guests in the form of recreation, events, promotions, decorating and activities that have been planned throughout the season.
This position is responsible for offering opportunities for the OCC guests to explore, engage, learn, and share experiences while making memories.
This position will also be integral in creating marketing strategies and activities to increase participation during the weekdays.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Creating an activity schedule for every weekend during peak season as well as other days during the week that your manager determines a need of for planned activities Plan various activities for all ages of guests at OCC with an emphasis on children's activities Use OCC items to decorate park based on the theme, also keep decor organized Utilize personal skills and the skills of your team to prepare and execute activities and events at OCC Work with owner to create and maintain social marketing presence as well as create specific marketing campaigns that align with the goals and values of OCC Aid and support to other departments at OCC when needed during the peak season as directed by manager Engage with campers and demonstrate OCC values in daily activities Provides assistance with maintenance of beach, Canteen, parking, camping, and buildings Assist with campground projects as well as evaluating seasonal and weekend campsites for maintenance Follow all WI state camping code guidelines as well as OCC rules and regulations when making decisions Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent Team Player willingness to assist wherever needed for the success of OCC Ability to work with little or no supervision and demonstrated ability to make sound judgements and decisions-Self motivated Helpful, Positive, Professional attitude with co-workers and guests at all times Flexible, learn quickly, ability to take directions from others Superior organizational skills, ability to set priorities, and responsive to requests.
Excellent communication skills Model and enforce safety rules and guidelines Successful at multitasking and/or prioritize tasks based on business needs Proficiency with organizations software programs (CampersAPP, When I work Employee Scheduling program, Canva, Campspot, Square, Jotform, and Sana) Effectively utilize social media platforms for marketing purposes Attain any licensing required to perform your role (bartenders, AED training, fees covered by OCC) Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move/transfer up to 50lbs Able to push/pull up to 75lbs Long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and walking Ability to work inside and outdoors frequently in various climates Ability to move safely over uneven terrain Job Types:
